I don’t know if this video is staged or not, but I don’t really care, because it is just simply FUN!

I have a bit of a love / hate relationship with Christmas, as many do, so I will post a few things that make me happy over the season.
If you are a Star Trek: The Next Generation fan, you will enjoy this one…
It is a 10-minute video, but it made me smile and tear up and want to loosen up and want to live life to the fullest! Not bad for a couple of old ladies taking their first flight.
I just caught a repeat of Saturday Night Live (from Jan 2013), with guest host Adam Levine from Maroon 5. Andy Samberg took the opportunity to do a Digital Short with his Lonely Island group, Adam, and musical guest Kendrick Lamar.
What a great song! Catchy (too catchy – am still singing Levine’s chorus), and a funny poke at our fears as it looks at YOLO (You Only Live Once) from the other side. “There’s no such thing as too much Purel!” … “Be carefolo…”
Love it!
I could not find a clearer full version of this, so I apologize for the quality, but I just love him dancing around, dressed as a block of tofu, singing new lyrics to songs as he encourages us to “Bring it on down to Veganville!”
These days, watching live TV is often painful, due to the increasing amount of ads. And these ads are generally either annoying, stupid, repetitive, or a combo. But every now and again there is one that really catches my eye – either with humour or sweetness – and it is SO refreshing.
I just saw an ad for the 2013 season of The Voice. I don’t watch the show, but I just so enjoyed the humour and camaraderie of the ad, which features the four judges, who are all popular singers (Blake Shelton, Adam Levine of Maroon 5, Shakira & Usher).
PS. I am posting this using the app on my iPhone… so I apologize if it doesn’t work!
I first saw this video on Oprah — the start of her 24th season, I believe it says. I have long been an Oprah fan and her shows have informed me, let me feel understood, given me ideas as to how to live a better life, and helped me to appreciate the life I have. They’ve made me smile and laugh and cry. This clip, however, gives me such joy and… I don’t know… lightness? Oprah called the feeling “joy rising”, and I think that’s a pretty good description.
So here is a video to cheer myself up, and anyone else who ever looks here. It’s the Black Eyed Peas singing the Oprah version of I Gotta Feeling, with a surprise flashmob.
PS. As an editor, the spelling of their song title really irritates me… but what can ya do.
Since the days of Grandmaster Flash and the Fresh Prince and Young MC I have enjoyed some rap music, and this “History of Rap 2 and 3”, done by Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake made me smile and remember and dance in my chair. Definitely worth a replay.
